About The Himalayan Village
Situated at the foothills of the famous Malana village- the oldest democracy in the world, Himalayan Village presents one with Kangra, Shimla, Spiti, Lahaul and Kullu; the names of cottages that capture the flavours of Himachal Pradesh. The resort is set amidst the thick Deodar forest, and the serene mountain landscape blends seamlessly into the unique wood and stone architecture of the village resort. The resort has multi-cuisine restaurants, a cozy bar that stocks the finest liquor from around the world, and a fully equipped spa. One may laze around within the confines of the private gardens that come with each cottage or indulge in a host of activities like safaris, adventure rushes, and barbeques.
Concept & stay experience
Built in the ancient Kathkunia style that includes dry stacking stones and wood without cement, the inner walls are mud plastered to retain the native rustic charm. The décor of each room has been done up thematically, reflecting the tradition and culture of the state. All cottages play host to a king size personal lawn and sit-out. Lahaul, Kullu, and the Machan offer a sweeping view of the mountain landscape. Beautifully carved teak furniture, handmade tussle silk curtains, and traditional brass fittings make a perfect blend of aesthetics and class.
